Rogue Stonefly

The signature fly is something many fly fishers aspire to. Its a legacy they leave for generations of anglers to come. Lee Wulff and the Royal Wulff, John Barr and the Copper John, Randall Kaufmann and Kaufmann Stonefly – all flies developed for a specific need then adopted by thousands. I’m not saying this fly is going to travel the world, it may, but I developed this bug to be heavy, shaggy, a little scary and alive.
stonefly tied for fast, deep water
Ultimately it was created to serve a purpose, but I would hope you take it and make it your own. No bead, no problem. All black, go for it. Any way you tie it, this is a fly worthy of the Rogue name – defiantly laughing at fast, deep waters and bringing forth bright, winter chrome.

Side note: I used a dubbing brush with a homemade version of this dubbing block.

Be Rogue. Fish Rogue.
